The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams – Eleanor Roosevelt
Dreams can be defined as inspired thoughts of positive change for one’s life, or at that’s how I define it. I love to dream. My current catch phrase is how can my life get any better than this? And usually an inspired thought flowers in a hum-drum area of my life, and then the thrill of change charges through my veins. After my first blog, a friend emailed me saying ‘they had no dreams’, and I wanted to respond to that statement, and to anyone else who may feel similarly. Dreams can be as small as getting a free drink when you go out on a Friday night, or as large as being a best-selling author. There are no limits about dreams, and being the leo that I am, think the bigger the better! Sometimes people stop themselves from dreaming, they think ‘who am I to wish for that, I don’t deserve it, I could never be like that or that would never happen to me” but their heart is whispering the truth to them. They are the only force in the universe that is stopping themselves from firstly having the dream, and secondly achieving the dream. What if I said that your life is as wonderful, loving, fun, and abundant as you let it? It’s the combinations of your thoughts and actions that are producing your life. So if your life is lacking something, then you are choosing this. To illustrate, I’m not happy in the apartment I’m currently living in. I’ve chosen to live with three other people (a couple and another male university student) in a three bedroom apartment. I’ve continued making this choice for a year and a half, until I realised I can change the choice. I can choose to live in a two bedroom apartment with a dear friend of mine, and create a home that nourishes and comforts me. So I’m currently house hunting. I’m changing my choice and allowing more happiness into my life. So why not look at your life and shine a light on any area that needs more happiness. Ask yourself ‘How can my life be any better?’ Listen for the inspired response and let a dream, small or large, bloom. Let yourself know you deserve happiness in every area of your life, and that you have all the resources to achieve it. Dream freely, honestly and bravely. Namaste |
